An EU co-fun ded project about environmental issues and sustainable development and training of youth

E.A.S.T. is a project Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. The project aspires to create more opportunities for youth in education and employment according to the competences of youth involved, to address the challenge of youth unemployment through strengthening the links between the youth sector and the training needs of the labour market, promoting education to self-employment, providing educational opportunities and empowerment for youth on the subject of training in the field of Eu project planning within the themes of environment, sustainable development and green jobs.

The project consortium consists of 7 partners, from 5 different EU countries. In specific the consortium consists of EURO (Italy, coordinator), Curba de Cultura (Romania), FOPSIM (Malta), TZG Jastrebarskog (Croatia), Orsa (Italy), Nuovo Ateneo (Italy), and Iroko (Spain).

On the 12th and 13th of July 2018, the partners will have the 3rd transnational steering group meeting in Bucharest, Romania. The meeting foresees an interim evaluation of the project and milestones, presentations of best practices from Romania in the field of environment education and setting future actions. Special attention will be given to the forthcoming training for youth workers and youth leaders, as the main output of the project, on environmental learning activities using nonformal learning. The training will take place in Alcamo, Sicily (Italy) and will last for 1 week in April 2019. For the training, each partner will identify 6 participants, in accordance with their interest and motivation in the training course; opportunities for personal and professional development offered by the activities resulting from the application form and; capacity and interest in multiplying the project’s results and methodology.
