On the 23rd and 24th of May 2017, FOPSIM attended the study visit and partners meeting for the Working Roma - Stop Labour Discrimination of Roma in Europe - project in Novo Mesto, Slovenia.
During the meeting presentations were done about the project implementation progress and the activities have been done so far. Discussions followed about the next activities and project deliverables together with pending administrative tasks per each partner. On the first day after the meeting study visits took place at migrants and Roma centres and communities.
On the second day, a press conference took place along with some discussions from several speakers and representatives from public sector, civic society and Roma community in Novo Mesto. The discussions focused on intercultural dialogue and labour integration of the Roma population.
The partners exchanged few best practices, success stories and several ideas for the successful implementation and the continuation of the project.
