Working Roma Transnational Seminar and Partner Meeting in Spain

1st and 2nd February 2017

On the 1st and 2nd of February 2017, FOPSIM attended the partner meeting and study visit for the Working Roma - Stop Labour Discrimination of Roma in Europe - project in Seville, Spain.

During the meeting, presentations were delivered about Roma and their integration into the labour market in each country. The project implementation progress and the activities have been created so far was also presented. Discussions followed about the next activities and project deliverables together with pending administrative tasks per each partner. On the first day of the meeting, a press conference took place and representatives of the Andujar municipality opened the discussions and the debates.

On the second day, the Seminar took place with several speakers. The seminar started with the speech of the Andujar Mayor and was attended by many social experts, NGOs and International Organisations. The discussion's main focus was on intercultural dialogue and labour integration of the Roma population.

The partners exchanged best practices, success stories and several ideas for the successful implementation and the continuation of the project.
